The Global Educational Leadership Conference (GELC) is an annual event organised by the Academy of Principals (Singapore). The conference is designed for Principals, Vice-Principals, Heads of Departments, Subject Heads, Level Heads and educators who are involved in some form of educational leadership in their school or organisation
Much has been said about the uncertainty of the future and how we need to innovate in order to meet the challenges ahead. In the midst of transition and driving growth, there is a need to revisit fundamentals to ensure that what we initiate stems from a firm foundation.
A heritage tree grows to its maximum height because it has a strong root system underground. The fundamentals in educational leadership and school systems must be well-established before we can strive for further growth.
The 11th Global Educational Leadership Conference calls for a return to the roots of education, leadership and learning.
